I was advised that the latches that attach it to the sides are not metal. It turns out that this is not a problem. These fasteners are very well made and hold the tool box very well. I like the two compartments inside the device. One sits above the other. The bottom one is deeper so you can conveniently store items like hammers and large, thick measuring tapes. The top shelf is shallower and I use it for things like a laser level, digital tape measure, precision screwdrivers, etc. Below the shelves is a deep storage compartment for larger tools. It can hold a large number of items, making it a great choice for the worker who needs all the necessary tools for a specific job in one location, or for the homeowner who just needs a good place to gather typical items that are used regularly Regular maintenance such as hammers, pliers, wrenches, screws, nails, etc. The two transparent small parts trays that are attached to the lid of the tool box are also great. They're easy to pull out when you want to take them off and just as easy to put back in. They are attached very securely, so you don't have to worry about accidentally falling out even if the tool box is pushed hard. Each also includes additional removable dividers so you can adjust the size of the compartments to suit your needs. As I said above, bars are very strong and you never have to be gentle with them. They create the feeling that they are almost impossible to break under normal conditions. In short, I love this toolbox. It seems so durable that I don't have to worry about being thrown or hit. I wouldn't expect any harm. At 22 inches longer than many toolboxes in this price range, it's the perfect length. This significantly increases functionality and storage capacity. The box is deep enough to store any tool, even many power tools. Two tray inserts and two transparent small parts inserts in the lid offer even more practical storage for countless utensils. Overall, the durability and storage options of this tool chest would have been worth a higher price tag. I am more than satisfied - this item exceeded all my expectations. If I decide to replace one of my old toolboxes in the future, I will replace it with this one. Great price for a great product. Definitely a 5 star item. I highly recommend!
