Exceeded all expectations. I installed it on a 11.1" MacBook Pro Retina 15" in late 2013. So I was only able to take advantage of Gen 2 speeds. Any MBP after late 2013 can take advantage of the much faster Gen 3 speeds that this drive is capable of. out. I upgraded from a 512GB Apple SSD and LOVE the extra storage that allows me to leave (sell) my external drives at home. There is no noticeable change in battery life with this drive. Formatted to APFS in High Sierra with no issues, it takes a reboot before it finally shows up. Started to panic when it wasn't there on the first run.
