I have a very old band saw. And when I say very old, I really mean very old, somewhere around 75 years old. It was given to me by my grandfather. I actually didn't use it much, mainly because it 1) wasn't set up properly; 2) needed serious maintenance and 3) needed a decent blade. Long story short, I needed this band saw to cut plexiglass and acrylic windows for an airplane I'm building. I used a saber saw for this, but it didn't work well due to the curvature of the window. I ended up breaking my saber saw blade and an expensive window. A factory that made a homemade airplane kit (Velocity) recommended a 1/2 inch diameter bi-metal cutting blade for trimming windows. I found it here at Revain and bought it straight away. It cuts plexiglass like butter. Now I can easily and accurately crop these windows to fit. I wish I had bought one of these knives a long time ago because it makes my life so much less stressful. This is an awesome blade. for such a price! I advise!
