IMPORTANT! You won't see Jupiter as big as in vanilla FirstScope. This version of the Cometron comes with non-Celestron FirstScope eyepieces bearing the astronomers' names (the "vanilla" FirstScope). The Cometron version comes with 20mm and 10mm eyepieces offering 15x and 30x magnification respectively. The vanilla version comes with 20mm and 4mm eyepieces offering 15x and 75x magnification. You can still see Jupiter and its moons with the Cometron version, but they look like stars. Despite the lack of extreme magnification (which, frankly, will look washed out with a telescope this small), this telescope is a wonderful instrument! I've used it every clear night since it arrived (about three weeks ago) and have never been disappointed. The included finderscope is a bit tricky to zero properly as it's a manual rather than electronic red dot sight, but after some effort it works fine. The moon is beautiful, as are the visible star clusters that are not visible to the naked eye. I haven't ventured into dark sky territory yet, but I'm sure this scope will impress me even more.
