I have a 250 GB SSD. Foolishly, I put it in an ASUS K501UXM (DM282T) laptop, there are no ventilation holes nearby, except for the sound from the speaker. It heats up to 60-65 on heavy tasks, and with large Windows ates, but then quickly cools down. I think to drill holes in the case (more precisely, in the bottom cover of the laptop) under it. There is a place (in thickness) of 3-4 mm for a heat sink, but I decided that it was of no use, since the hot air still had nowhere to go. I think I'll move it to a desktop computer, under normal airflow, and put a WD_Black SN750 of the previous generation (PCIe 3) into a laptop, it's much colder. I do not consider WD_Blue, since there is no DRAM buffer, which leads to my own problems.
