Review on 🚘 Pair of Rear Trunk Liftgate Lift Support Struts Gas Springs for Hyundai Sonata 2008-2012 Sedan by David Butterfield

I ordered this pair for Sonata 08 hoping they will heal the trunk lid with a dead weight. One reviewer complained about the opening speed. I relied on that as a bit overkill. So at $8 a piece I'm in. My Sonata was bought last year and came with a dead weight in the trunk and after many blogs about why and that there is no cure I haven't spent Hyundai dollars not getting repairs. YHTauto elevators fixed my trunk but they are solid and when you replace both the lid pops open quickly. I wanted perfection, so I turned one of the old elevators back on - too slow. Switched to another one (he already looked in the best condition). Eureka! Perfection, open the trunk, it rises a little, then guide it with one hand, stop if you want (doesn't move), then press and continue until it's fully open. No hassle closing, just pull in the middle and then release when you want. Now I have a free lift. I gave "Installation" a 4 because the mounts tend to pop into dark corners of the trunk and are difficult to put back in place (maybe there's a trick I don't know).
