Spoons are small enough to be a nuisance when you're not feeding your baby. The whole set is very thin. They're very flexible (because they're thin and cheap) so they might not break in a jar, but I can see scooping out peanut butter with a full spoonful is an ordeal. You will not cut hard vegetables, steaks or cheese with these knives. Suitable for room temperature butter, stirring coffee or eating with a very small spoon while on a diet. Not recommended for adult hands or mouth. I can't wait to use them and never buy them again. Edit: They break cans of peanut butter and cans of wet dog food. I used a fork to eat some jalapeño-stuffed olives from a jar and tasted bits of plastic in the food. Don't buy this.
