Review on GodHand Keroro Nipper Plastic GH PN 125 KR: Superior Precision for Plastic Model Kit Enthusiasts by Patrick Reid

Excellent value for money for hand tools

I previously bought a Citadel clipper but the package got lost in the post. It turned out to be a coincidence! These things have enough sharp points to get into small sprue marks (to avoid multiple cuts) and the blades themselves are very sharp. I've read about the legendary GodHand clippers, but thought that spending $50-$100 was a bit excessive. They're $20 and they're amazing. I threw away the Hakko cutters (also Japanese) but they are for cutting wire and solder, not for building models. They worked well enough, but I always had to do a lot of sanding afterwards. These GodHand PN-125 eliminate a lot of grinding. You'll still have visible imperfections on the piece (most of the time - I've had several near-perfect cuts!), and you'll need to file or scrape the shape. Lines anyway, so the minor sanding required after using these cutters is a very welcome change of pace for me! You won't regret buying them, bottom line. In this case you really do get what you pay for, unlike most products in the Citadel range.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
