My cat, Miss Kitty, is considered a "house cat" in Texas. It simply means that she was homeless and now enjoys many of the comforts of a "house cat" with all the added freedoms of a homeless cat. Needless to say, Miss Kitty spends most of her time indoors during the winter. This wouldn't be a problem if it was a color other than 99% black. Our home doesn't get much natural light, and even less light in the winter. In short, we NEED a collar that makes them more visible but at the same time safe for their outdoor activities. This set of collars was the perfect solution. We don't stumble over it anymore, neither inside nor outside. When we call them, the sparkle of the fake diamonds helps us to see them running towards the house. However, she didn't like the bell at all, so it was removed. The 'safety' feature is just a bit of elastic allowing Miss Kitty to pull and stretch to avoid snagging problems - hence the 2 pack. The soft suede texture of the collars won't irritate her so she doesn't keep scratching it and/or trying to remove the collar. These collars are perfect for us and Miss Kitty.
