Review on πŸ”§ Tandy Leather Snap All Setter 8108 10: The Ultimate Tool for Snapping Leather by Amanda Castillo

A traditional tool but not suited to my needs

Definitely for those with a lot of manual strength. Many people use this as a means to change clasps on boat trunks, coats, jackets, tool bags, etc. I couldn't properly center the fasteners (top and bottom) - they kept slipping. I had a friend who worked as a locksmith and he had the same problem. That's enough for some binding settings, but not for the bindings I need. I ended up buying a latch that looked like a vise. Gets the job done instantly, even if you have to be Hercules.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Damaged
