Lithonia Utility Wall Mount Vapor Lights - 5 stars for EZ mount, thickness and value!

RE: Lithonia Lighting VW150I M12 Utility Vapor Wall Light No Tights Incandescent 150W Grey. Bought this pair for our family's VR villa. About 80 meters from the beach (I'm not mentioning this fact for tropical aesthetics but for convenience) I installed both steam lanterns in 1 hour yesterday, with a lot of unplanned interruptions by the OP! They're a good weight, mostly because of the protective glass lids. The ONLY hiccup in assembly was trying to screw in the protective glass cover (not plastic), I had to try many times on the 1st before it "seated" properly, and used a sharpie on the 2nd to mark it . Another thing to mention is not to pre-attach the cage that attaches to the lid, as this will make it easier to screw in the 2 bottom screws that get in the way of the glass lid; But I have some long thin Phillips head screwdrivers that have worked fine and you need a standard medium sized Phillips socket for the cage lid. Regarding the mention of 80 yards from the beach – the ocean's saltwater vapor corrodes all metals, some faster than others depending on the type and quality of the metal. Bronze and copper oxidize at different stages, but at least this can be prolonged if it is of a high quality. on the other hand everything made of iron, steel or stainless steel. Rust and corrosion begin on day one. Follow up in 6 months - will be updated if there are major changes. If they can handle the near Pacific I will buy more. 5 stars for EZ installation, thickness and value! .
