I wanted a bread maker with high sides to bake bread for sandwiches. I used a Saturday whole wheat flour recipe with flour, water, salt, yeast and baked a loaf in a slow cooker (per the recipe) to make an artisan loaf and another in this Pullman bread pan. The bread came out nice and big with a nice even crust perfect for sandwiches. I greased the pan with butter and flour. I didn't bake with the lid closed, I'll try later. Pan was easy to clean. I am very happy with this purchase. This worked exactly as I had hoped.
