This device was used as an additional motion sensor to my already existing wired alarm. I have a lot of experience with Tuya and Smart Life devices. It works exactly as expected. VERY quick and easy to install. The main thing to note is that while the app notification arrives fairly quickly (a second or two), I use it in conjunction with other 3rd party security apps (Smartthings and ActionTiles) and therefore use it in conjunction with my Wi -Fi lag, which happens anyway, I'm actually experiencing a 4-5 second lag. My device is in a place where a lag of that magnitude won't make a difference, so I can live with that with no problem. If you are only happy with the included app, then you should be happy with this product. Anything beyond that requires some heavy tweaking to make it work with Smartthings and ActionTiles, but if you have the patience and set it up properly, it works great in those apps too. The only criticism is the included mounting base. I would like a way to attach it directly to the surface without a stand, for example with screws or foam tape. In fact, I use the base as a kind of tripod and just place it on a horizontal surface. . . works for me right now. Keep in mind that this will never be instantaneous, it wasn't designed that way as it needs to work over your Wi-Fi system, not wired. Only the wired device works immediately. I am happy with my purchase and would purchase more if needed.
