I changed the oil on an Audi Q7 to save some money but I didn't examine the weird washer I pulled off the drain plug. I just thought it was just a weird puck. All the other cars I've had an oil change on, Chevy, Nissan, Ford, didn't have a washer. It may not be the case, but I've never had a problem with a leak. Needless to say, there was a real puddle the next morning. After some research I realized I needed a new "shredder". I went to the local national auto parts store and they only had copper ones not hollow ones. I tried it, it's still flowing. Ordered them and finally felt them "sit" when I tightened them and now no leaks!
