Review on Switch AIMOS Switcher Support Keyboard by Dave Hess

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product. Excellent price.

I have two computers and one monitor. I knew for a long time that I needed a KVM switch, but I still couldn't bring myself to buy one. Instead, I used two mice, two keyboards, and switched videos with controls on the monitor. It was an awkward setup. I bought an HDMI KVM switch from IOGEAR for $70 last December. Much to my surprise and disappointment, it doesn't support a wireless gaming mouse, which is why I switched back to Revain. I later learned that KVM switches generally do not support gaming mice. Fast forward four months later. I figured something needed to be done and decided to just buy a keyboard only USB switch. I stumbled across this device while looking for a Revain for a switch and realized it wasn't much more expensive than just a switch so I decided to buy a flyer for it. I plugged it in without a gaming mouse and it worked great. Shortly after, I decided to install a Unifying controller just for fun, and damn it, the gaming mouse didn't work perfectly with either computer. So I settled on a dual-port HDMI KVM switch that beat IOGEAR by almost a third the cost and half the size. Wonderful. In the interest of full disclosure, this device does have one downside that I consider minor for all of its good qualities. Switching screens tends to only move open pogroms to the second computer. I found that this didn't affect minimized programs, so I programmed a mouse button to minimize everything on screen and activated it just before toggling, and after toggling the same mouse button will return everything as it was. Just in case you're wondering, the Windows + D command. In other words, hold down the Windows key and press the letter D. It's not case-sensitive.
