Although thicker than others, that doesn't mean they're any more effective. They hold up better but don't wash well. Basically, you just bought a durable foam sponge. I bought a house with textured tile floors and some of them had dirt that looked like it had been there a very long time. I started loosening them tile by tile and with my Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (because I've tried almost every other cleaner) and they worked. It's not the easiest way, but it worked. I've used up all my CME misters and figured this would be the more economical choice and should be enough to finish the house. Too bad they didn't work at all. I've tried them in several places on walls and doors that a magic eraser would absorb and it made no difference. At one point I was looking on Youtube and saw a guy using Scrubbing Bubbles on the floor. He sprayed it, let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then came back with a top brush (the kind you can attach to a mop handle so you don't break your back). It worked very well! So I keep them to myself, I don't know what for, but maybe I'll use them for something. But my advice? Buy the real ones and don't waste your time on them.
