Excellent Quality Hybrid Martingale Collar with Buckle

Disclaimer: I received a free collar in exchange for an honest review. He wore it for a week until I took him on vacation; I'll update my review if I notice anything new when I get my hands on it :) When I first saw the collar in real life I was worried it might be too stiff, but it's actually less stiff than quite a few collars I've seen, although I wouldn't call it bland either. Pretty typical nylon collar I would say. My dog showed no signs of discomfort when wearing it. It is easy to adjust and the buckle closes easily enough, but not so easily that I have to worry about my bow accidentally opening it while I'm playing. Always use a harness when walking my dog. I haven't fully tested it. I did use it in training though and it held up great when my dog pounced on the rabbit. I love that this collar has two possible leash clips, one right next to the buckle and the other on the martingale part. There is also a very small plastic ring which I think was for the tags. I'm always skeptical of plastic so I decided to use the ring on the dog buckle instead, but it seemed pretty solid if the dog doesn't often snag something with their dog tags. This allows you to freely switch between martingale rings and traditional rings. with the ease of use of the buckle collar). I would have preferred the nylon to be a little less stiff/softer but my dog didn't care so it's not a big issue. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a martingale/buckle hybrid.

Pros

Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
