A Few Flaws From The Perfect

First, it looks very good cosmetically and appears to be well constructed (it's actually slightly better constructed than the large floor model I prefabricated). However, there are a few things that bothered me and therefore prevented me from giving five stars. While I would still recommend this device, just pay attention to the issues to see if they can be fixed. Firstly, no need to fix screws on the wall. You will receive a piece to attach to the wall, but no screws or pre-drilled holes are included. The lack of holes isn't a problem, however, as each wall is likely to have a slightly different stud arrangement, and given the weight of a single block, I highly recommend leveling it with studs. I have to go to the hardware store to buy the screws I need and that's a minus since everything has to be included. Everything that came with it worked perfectly. Second, the instructions are fairly basic (double sided page, no booklet) and there are no stickers to identify the parts, although this wasn't a problem for me, I know it may be a problem for some. Just pay attention to the alignment in the picture and everything will fall into place. And thirdly (although this is a minor issue) due to the looks of the unit there are places where at least one DVD is covered at each end as well as in the middle section. I'm not sure if anyone else will have problems with this or not. but I prefer to have all my titles visible from the outside without having to take out a DVD to pull out the closed one to see what it is. However, this unit was purchased as an add-on/universal for other things that I didn't have room for on my other floor so I can probably arrange them to my liking, but if that was something that needed completing, I probably would Buy either blank DVD cases or blank CD cases to display all my real titles. a little uncomfortable but not huge. Overall I'm very happy and the little caps that cover the screws feel nice (no stupid stickers or stuff that never stays), they're really good and seem to stay in place. It will definitely look good in my room. and it looks like it's going to be a while.
