The next day I received the premium watercolor brushes. To date I have never used this type of brush so I was very curious. I'm familiar with water brushes for general watercolor and there are 2 in this set. The colored pens have a tip that is very similar to water brush pens, but the body of the pen is more rigid than "squeezable", which I think is normal. Several colors I tested were very vibrant and responded very similarly to the watercolors I've used previously. The color is saturated, it can be diluted or diluted with water. They seem very easy to use and should be great for beginners like my daughter. I have only used a few paints so far but my first impression is that they are good value for money and should be a fun and varied art experience for our family.
