I read so many great reviews on this product before I bought it BUT I should have looked for the negative reviews first. Now I know why my walls are wet when I use the dryer. I have always used the recommended filters. They don't last very long. 3-4 dryer loads. A handheld vacuum doesn't clean them well enough to hold more than a load or two. Last time I checked, six (6) branded filters were $18. Also, the small flap at the top of the box doesn't stay shut tightly, and the lint escapes and sticks to the walls. I actually glued it on because it was flapping all the time. The clamps on the side have to be opened carefully, otherwise they can break off and possibly fall behind the machine, as happened to me once. The only reason I had it so long was because I had to wait for my husband to install another water bucket vent. Water may be dirtier, but it's a lot cheaper. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND BETTER VENTILATION.
