Excellent product for making spherical candles. I had an accident where the wax ran down the sides but that was my own fault. I've made about a dozen ball candles with this mold so far, each one fits perfectly and pops out easily. I do NOT use mold release agents or non-stick sprays. This is not necessary if you follow the instructions carefully and note the following: 1) Make sure the mold halves are FULLY and FIRMLY connected. I press firmly on the top to make sure the connection is fully closed. Pull the thread very well and keep the pin pressed firmly against the hole. 2) DO NOT exceed 165 degrees to pour wax. I try to keep the temperature of the wax between 140 and 150 degrees. This will make the melted wax thicker. If the wax is too hot, it will become less viscous, potentially causing mold expansion and leakage around the center seam. This is a mistake I made on my first attempts. 3) Try not to pour the wax all the way to the top of the "funnel hole" but keep the wax at 1/4" in it. As the wax cools and shrinks it will make it easier to "finish" and certainly makes it easier to disassemble the mold and release the candle.
