Worth every penny. Best in Manifolds

You really need them. I've never been a headlines fan, but I'm eating my words on this one. Installation was, well, like everything else - so easy that the last manifold bolt is no problem, and there is very little room to install the very short bolts that hold these manifolds. Depending on the rust on the existing manifold bolts, it could take 2 hours or a full day. Anyway, it took 3-4 hours, very easy installation. Soak the bolts with a lead or liquid wrench a few days in advance to prevent the bolt heads from coming off or worse, the bolt breaking. Be careful when installing new bolts and remember to re-tighten/check new bolts. several times after driving. Otherwise you will remove it and put in a new gasket. Connected directly to a CAT downpipe and in my case I didn't need any additional suspension. However, make sure the tube is adequately supported before attaching the head to it. Don't rely on your manifold to support your CAT downpipe, all the weight is pulling on your manifolds which is another frustrating situation. It really is like that. They've been on for a while - about 2 years actually, they're not shiny anymore, but they don't rust either, and they haven't burned any wires or overheated anything under the hood. The performance gain with the airbox I installed was huge. Different trucks all together. Very good product.

Pros
  • Bolt on direct fit replacement, no welding required, uses OEM connectors
Cons
  • Zero
