Yes, I have 4 of them. I also have a couple of Sunto, Silva and Bruntons. This is very good value for money. They are not designed to create new maps or even to follow extremely precise lines. These are inexpensive, very light hiking/camping/driving approaches that make up for your smartphone's GPS loss in a few areas. I recommend learning the basics of orienteering, it's important to use the compass without a map. Again, if you can bring a topographical map of the area you are walking in with a real cartographic compass, do so! However, if you understand bearing and how important a compass can be even in a treeless desert, this is a solid buy. I bought 4 to be able to compare them to each other and see if there are any major differences between them. .I try to do this with every review. *multiple points*Here are the advantages.1. Very light weight 2. Includes thermometer *that's accurate*3. Exactly, each of me was exact. Not the easiest to read, but accurate.4. Pretty solid construction. Easy to wear again and always wear Cons-1. not the easiest to read2. They must be kept absolutely level, otherwise the needle will hang! Recommendation? Buy a few. I have camped, hiked, hiked and hunted on two continents and in every available terrain from South America to Canada and in between. I live in Arizona not far from major mining operations, there are lots of minerals in our local rocks! They work fine. Get a pair!
