Bought this because I really liked the design. I was suspicious of people saying the paint was peeling, so I pre-purchased a can of urethane for the Rust-Oleum outer rails. When I applied it the skeleton changed color to bone color (more yellow on white) confirming that there really was no protective topcoat on this decal. Definitely recommend buying a clear coat for it. I recommend Spar Urethane because it's strong enough for outdoor use and UV resistant, which can contribute to fading. Also, the plate is thinner than a regular license plate and should therefore be used with a license plate frame. see how it holds up!
