First of all, I have to say that I love LED bulbs - they shine with a fraction of the power (usually around 10-15%). For example, in our kitchen there were 13 yes 13 light bulbs of 100 watts (actually 92 watts), totaling 1196 to 1300 watts, which we replaced with LEDs, for a total new load of 196 watts. Let me tell you that this saves us a lot at the counter, that's what matters. The only disappointment I can say is that I haven't found a brand that doesn't have durability issues yet. From Feit to Sunco, GE etc. they all tend to die well before their estimated typical 25,000 hour lifespan. The kitchen I was talking about got 13 new LEDs in 2017 and since then 4 or 5 have had to be replaced. we'll see how they fare - I got 1 up and running last week, will update as we proceed. The brightness and temperature of the LEDs seem to be on point.
