I've put a lot of time, effort and money into my studies and I definitely wouldn't pay the extra $2-300 for a frame to fit it. This photo frame is a great budget alternative. Perfect positioning requires a bit of DIY, but I'm happy to grab something DIY for an extra $100 for a more comfortable frame. I ended up cutting out the diploma and attaching it to the frame with stickers and then just taped the pieces in place so I didn't actually have to put the tape on the diploma. The tassel also had to be taped shut so it hung in the middle, but that was easy to do. Overall, this frame looks functional and professional and works great for my purposes.
