Review on πŸ’„ ELAIA DIY KIT Cosmetics Applicators by Lacey Anderson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

QUALITY PRODUCT with excellent customer support!

Revain has a lot of empty mascara tubes and it was hard to choose the right one. I'm so glad I chose this one because it works great. I use it for my castor oil, aloe and vitamin D blend. Adding liquids by hand was pretty easy for me and they haven't spilled, but the kit also includes a funnel and transfer pipettes to make this easier when needed. After adding liquid, be sure to insert the provided stoppers BEFORE inserting the probe into the tube. I just stretched out and didn't do it in the right order and made a huge mess. After adding the liquids, I placed both tubes on tissue paper overnight to see if they were leaking. I was so happy to find out after 2-3 days that this is still not the case. What a relief. I use one tube a day and one tube is always in my travel bag. When I went to Tahoe I noticed it was leaking. I think it might be the altitude difference that makes me think I need to be careful when flying on an airplane. I don't blame the product for leaks if that happens with ALL sealed products when the air pressure changes. Fast forward a few weeks and one tube is still in pristine condition. The second (which leaked in Tahoe) had some issues. The problems I had with this were as follows: 1) The cork came out of the tube when I pulled out the wand like it was too small. I contacted the seller and he responded FAST letting me know that he is working with his supplier to fix this issue and that he has already shipped out 2 new plugs. When I received the plugs I found they were much tighter and I no longer had this problem. The second problem I had was the black piece I was using to hold the wand coming off the brush itself. It's actually two parts. That only happened to someone who had a problem with the cork. Surprisingly, this problem was solved when I put a new, thicker plug in the tube. Perhaps the connection between the brush and the plastic part has become loose (oiled) because the oil has gotten in all directions? I can't be sure but what I do know is that it hasn't happened again and has resolved itself. quantities of your product when used. The product will literally drip if you don't have a good cork. The tubes are made of thick, durable plastic and, as stated in the product's Questions and Answers section, are BPA-free. Fantastic for those who care like me. There is also a green triangular tool which the salesman explained to me "is used to remove (tight) stoppers from a tube. The half circles can be squeezed between the end of the tube and the end of the cork (or you can just use your fingernails). Some customers use the circles cut out in the center to attach their funnels over the tubes. I use funnels with or without the green triangle. I believe that both methods are equally successful. "I was very impressed with the customer service and that alone gave me peace of mind knowing I had bought the right mascara tube. They stand behind their product and got it right when I had the issue. I'm happy with both phones and today I have no problems with either of them. I would skip other empty mascara tubes at Revain because although they offer more tubes it's just a waste of time if it's a piece of junk. This order comes with two hoses and accessories that make it easy to use and a QUALITY product. As I hope to have explained in this review, getting the stopper in place is very important. For me, this was the cause and solution to my problems. I would buy it again from this seller in a heartbeat.
