Review on 💡 Enhanced Feit LEDR56 827 Dimmable Retrofit for Optimal Lighting Experience by Blanca Spahn

I chose the Feit LEDR56/827 because of the price, features and positive reviews. During a recent interior renovation I installed 25 of these including one over the bath, 4 in each bedroom and several on the vaulted ceiling. The contractor was installing 6" recessed housings with traditional lampholders before I found that many LED recessed lights did not come with sockets for traditional lampholders. /LED digital dimmer and generally satisfied with the result.The lamps turn on instantly and dim evenly, without a hint of flicker, over the entire range of the switch (about 25-30 possible levels).At full power they are very bright and dimming is low enough not to hurt your eyes when you wake up in the middle of the night. The advert on the box worked for me because it says 1) it's fully dimmable with instant brightness 2) it comes with an upgrade kit for traditional outlets 3) has a warm light spectrum of 2700K 4) for 6-inch -housing is suitable 5) has a brightness of 1275 lumens 6) is fully sealed for bathroom and indoor/outdoor use 7) has a finish 8) has a lifespan of 45 years. As I can't verify if fespan is that, for all other claims I have to say that the display appears to be correct. My only complaint is that after a few months of installing it, I started noticing tiny dead insects in the space behind the translucent cover. Not everyone has them, but at least 2 or 3 have this problem. I wrongly assumed that an indoor/outdoor seal meant the seal was impervious to insects. I didn't notice any moisture behind the lid. In my house the ceiling trim was seamlessly patched and painted so removing the fixings to fix the flaws will require some fixes when reinstalling. I had high hopes for this product, most of which came true, but the fact that the tiny bugs were able to sneak in and die where I can see them is disappointing. All in all, I would choose this product again and can only recommend it. others, particularly in combination with Lutron's MACL-153M-WH Maestro 150W Multipoint CFL/LED Digital Dimmer. went bad. While it stinks that I have to replace one, I'm very impressed that it took 5 years to break one. I hope this is a one time bug and I don't have to change it in the near future.
