I wasn't expecting much. How interesting are books that you can't read but only look at? But the small details make it perfect. I filled with can and finished with a matte finish. I lost the leather grain & when I wanted a less rustic look the mold gave my cast samples a nice skin texture. The can has creased the sides so you need to plan to support it. However, I did not notice this during a test cast with plaster. I was glad he worked metal. This is proof that small details draw attention to the piece to look at the materials in a new way.
