Я приобрел это устройство, чтобы помочь передавать сигнал WIFI в районы с более слабым сигналом в моем доме, а также расширить зону покрытия WIFI за пределы дома в мой the garage. The device does not speed up your signal, but instead takes the strength of the signal that the device is receiving and sends it into the dead zones. To check, I only use it as an extension cord (not as a WiFi hotspot). Here are some pros and cons: + Increases signal (line of sight) to over 100 feet from device outdoors; through walls a good 50 feet or more. + Definitely increases your dead zones in your home, garage, etc. or anywhere you need coverage. + Typically easy to set up and place in a reasonable area with Wi-Fi coverage to route signal to weak spots. + Devices are pretty easy to connect. Didn't work at all. Recommendation - leave the new WiFi names as default and everything should work fine. - The device didn't have the latest software so I had to log into the device and update it which seemed to help. - I didn't contact tech support, but messing around with the website troubleshooter wasn't very helpful (as per above, just use the default settings and keep it simple). Sometimes I had to turn off the extender when I had connection problems, but otherwise it only happened once or twice every few months.
