Great Wi-Fi Extender for those on a budget

First off, I'm not a gamer or telecommuter who needs blazing fast internet. I need a wi-fi extender that goes about 100 feet from the cable modem/router (Arris) that came from my ISP to the rest of the house for another 100 feet. I need to connect: - 2 x iPad (for kids YouTube habit) - 1 x iMac (for family) - 2 x iPhone 6 (for me and my wife) - 1 x XBOX One - 1 x Apple TV box At least 3 of the above items are data removed from the expander. I get around 60+ Mbps using speedtest.net on my iPad…

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Nothing

I haven't noticed any significant performance improvement. My direct connection and Netgear connection were almost the same. Maybe Netgear has given me a 10% improvement in downloads at times, but not reliably. Most tests, both straight and odd, were on par with 2G. When uploading a number, either my Direct and Netgear both stayed in the kilobit range, not the megabit range. So there are no big improvements. Direct worked from 500 to 800 kbps. Netgear will be more consistently closer to the 800

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Annoying

Я приобрел это устройство, чтобы помочь передавать сигнал WIFI в районы с более слабым сигналом в моем доме, а также расширить зону покрытия WIFI за пределы дома в мой the garage. The device does not speed up your signal, but instead takes the strength of the signal that the device is receiving and sends it into the dead zones. To check, I only use it as an extension cord (not as a WiFi hotspot). Here are some pros and cons: + Increases signal (line of sight) to over 100 feet from device…

Pros
  • Идеально подходит для активного отдыха
Cons
  • Для старого

Update: Over time the problem with my Nighthawk EX7000 got worse and worse. From restarting the repeater every few months to weeks, then every few days, and factory resets have been done to the fullest. Had to do 3 factory resets every 10 minutes last weekend. Now an expensive useless broken object. I have some really old G-band routers that still work great. The new Netgear devices are poorly processed with dubious programmed firmware. A few months of near-acceptable performance, followed by…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent

  • Periodicity
