First off, I'm not a gamer or telecommuter who needs blazing fast internet. I need a wi-fi extender that goes about 100 feet from the cable modem/router (Arris) that came from my ISP to the rest of the house for another 100 feet. I need to connect: - 2 x iPad (for kids YouTube habit) - 1 x iMac (for family) - 2 x iPhone 6 (for me and my wife) - 1 x XBOX One - 1 x Apple TV box At least 3 of the above items are data removed from the expander. I get around 60+ Mbps using speedtest.net on my iPad with a 300 Mbps internet plan. The range is distributed over 3 walls (plasterboard inside and vinyl cladding outside) throughout the house and garden. I also run all my devices at 5GHz from the repeater to the device and 2.4GHz from the repeater to the modem. NETGEAR calls it "Fastlane" technology. The interface is easy to use - connect the extender to your modem using the "WPS" button and it will sync instantly. Then connect your device, e.g. B. an iPad, with the extender. Then go to mywifiext.net with the browser on your iPad to configure the settings. The settings are easy to understand for beginners. The fact that it is a certified refurbished device makes it even more affordable. The extension was packaged in a plain brown box with plastic wrap and padding. I would recommend this to all my friends, colleagues and even my worst enemy!
