Good value, wall mount

I bought two of these adjustable arms for my elementary school after doing a lot of research and I admit my mechanic did assembled most of it, but here's what I've found so far. Before I bought these, all of our hoops were fixed at 10 feet, so my K-2 graders found it impossible to practice shooting during basketball sessions. We removed the two shield mounts and replaced them with these adjustable mounts. They attach to the wall with 2x4 standoffs, but I'm not sure of the depth and size of the screws my mechanic used. The shield hardly wobbles, so they're pretty solid for now. I'm sure the weight of the backboard and rim will play a role in how strong the adjustable mount will be or how it wobbles when balls bounce off the rim. Attaching to a pole will likely affect this. I have to use a broom to adjust the device but gradual changes are great for the different ages I have. What worries me (and time will tell if that's a good or bad thing) is that the settings slide up and down, resting on a plastic "step" for each height. My concern is that over time the weight of the plastic steps will become too great and the entire shield at 7ft (lowest) will collapse and fail. To return to a height other than 10 feet, you must press a small plastic notch that helps release the slider from the upper steps. I'm not much help in choosing a backboard and rim because our backboards were home made. Our discs are very strong, but they don't break. Because of this we had to drill new holes in the shield and rim to line it up with the bracket, which was a problem. However, I'm sure most Lifetime products work great together. a slightly more secure adjustable mount, but for the money it's not a bad trail. However, this is my wall mount experience. I'll update if this thing falls apart during winter use.
