The aquagym instructor who helps me with water therapy showed me water gloves instead of water weights because gloves are much more versatile and much easier to carry in my gym bag. I originally preferred water weights which I used at Y and Golds Gym but as everything was closed I was only able to do water therapy in the private pool - thanks for making great friends in the gated community! My friend has several sets of these gloves of different sizes and from different brands. Of everything we've tried, my husband and I preferred the Speedo gloves. Being a 2XL girl I love these plus size gloves. My 2XLT husband loves the XL size as he has a really horrible hand injury that never healed properly - he can finally work out in the pool and his hand isn't pulsing as much. I have a very bad leg situation, bad enough that I feel like a beached whale when I'm on dry land. However, I am finally able to move in the water, allowing me to regain some much-needed flexibility and strength. These gloves are really amazing, they improve the strength and endurance of my hands. They are so stylish that a number of people have asked me about the gloves, tried them on and said they plan to get their own set. Can't sing their praises - well built and good value. I recommend washing the gloves thoroughly after use and letting them air dry or hang to dry as they retain quite a bit of pool water. They are well suited for use in bathwater extraction machines, which are also available at some gyms.
