Dude I'm frustrated because I really wanted this filter to work. I have a four outlet air pump that powers two rocks so I thought it would be nice to be able to run a filter for my deep water hydroponic system with it. through the filter and up, just sits there - poorly secured and plenty of room to manoeuvre. While the propeller initially starts spinning (as seen in the video), the turbulent mix of air bubbles (from the pump) and water throws the blade off balance as soon as you place it in water and it stops spinning . As a result, the output of this filter is intermittent, not a smooth flow at all. I tried different pump strengths to see if there was a "gold stain" but it just didn't flow smoothly in the end. In addition, the propeller is not powerful enough to eject water unless the outlet is below or at the waterline, which is very different from what is shown in the product photo. All in all this product just doesn't work, it's a good ideal but poor execution. It is better to use a conventional filter with a pump.
