Review on SKIL 65ft. Red Self-Leveling Cross Line Laser Level - Rechargeable Lithium Battery, USB Charging Port, Compact Tripod, Carry Bag Included - LL932201 by Chad Boho

This level is really great but the first time I dropped it (the tripod tipped over) the horizontal laser broke. I don't know if I was unlucky or something. There are some insanely fragile connections if you take it apart to see if it can be salvaged - one of the circuit boards is attached with incredibly thin copper wires (the thickness of a hair). This complicates disassembly because if you snap them open you have to re-solder them by hand and the wires aren't really thick enough to do without tweezers. I don't think it's possible to fix a broken laser part yourself, which is a shame. since it worked so well. I will probably buy the lighter green, when I was working in my garage I had trouble seeing the line through the garage when there was a lot of ambient light. I would be shocked to be within 20 meters of the laser if there was much light at all. In general, laser levels fully justify themselves. Just disappointed that it broke so easily.
