My cats love it and are great with it. We put ours in the kitchen door leading to the basement where their stalls are located. But sometimes when you have workers all day, your cats need to STAY in the basement where they will be safe and out of the way with access to their crates and. There is now a hole in the door with no cover or locking cap. Therefore, you need to tape a piece of cardboard over the hole with tape. It's tedious and cats can manipulate the tape or bang their heads out easily. If you need a cat door to keep cats in from time to time and also to let them through, you should consider this before buying this door. If there was an additional way to block it, I'd give it six stars out of five for the attractiveness factor. We get a lot of compliments on that.
