Fits easily on my 5 year old's handlebars. We first attempted to remove the piece of foam and plastic covering the horizontal bar, but the metal bar underneath was very flimsy, causing the basket to wobble a bit - it looked like it was rattling. We reattached the foam and plastic and my husband stretched the hooks very slightly to attach them, wide enough for my daughter to easily detach and attach the basket herself but still have a snug fit. (No tools are required to bend the hooks, he just pulls them with his hands.) I think the way the hooks can be narrowed or widened will allow this basket to be placed on a different bike in the future . Definitely worth spending a little more for this very durable basket as the plastic basket it used to have mostly disintegrated after a few exposures to rain. Just the right size for a doll or stuffed animal, just what she wanted.
