Works as intended. However, remember that it is designed for a door that opens fairly close to the ground. I used mine outdoors for patio doors and given the pitch there was quite a difference between the height of the door and the floor. I made up for this by adding washers and rubber material that I cut out and layered. If you do this you may need longer screws to attach. It would be difficult to compensate for a gap greater than an inch. If a different stopper suits you and you have 1/2 play or more, I can recommend using something else.
