This helps hold the pivoting metal gate on the vertical platform lift allowing my husband to enter the lift without having to step back by opening the door to get into the lift. Has just the right amount of "hold". We can easily pull the door to close it.

I installed it in the back of the drawer that holds my trash cans. I needed a good way to close it and the jars are so big regular latches wouldn't fit. I placed this gem in the back of a cabinet and it snapped onto the slide rails that hold the bins in place as they slide back in. Works perfectly!

This is a very well made doorstop but measure twice and *think* how much space you have under your door before you order. While this works successfully as a stopper in several places in our home, the magnetic surfaces of the stopper and door assembly only overlap enough to actually hold one of our doors open with great endurance.

Does the job - the magnet is strong enough to keep the patio door open even in strong winds. It's pretty easy to install - you get what you see in the picture in terms of magnet dimensions and height. (And a shim or two at the bottom is pretty standard and not difficult to make if you have excessive door-to-floor height!)

Otherwise you'll have to do like I did and make a latch riser to hold the latch and get longer screws. worth the trouble. The strength of the magnet is just right. It holds the door open to prevent wind slamming, but easily releases from the stop when the door is closed. Small, unobtrusive and beautiful. In fact, the manufacturer should supply different sizes of risers to facilitate installation.

Works as intended. However, remember that it is designed for a door that opens fairly close to the ground. I used mine outdoors for patio doors and given the pitch there was quite a difference between the height of the door and the floor. I made up for this by adding washers and rubber material that I cut out and layered. If you do this you may need longer screws to attach. It would be difficult to compensate for a gap greater than an inch. If a different stopper suits you and you have 1/2 play
