Love these shorts. I'm 5ft 3in and 150lbs. Bought a medium and they are not tight and not too loose. If they were bigger, they would be too big. Depending on how you want them fitted, they are slightly larger than I expected. You can reduce the size to get a feeling of compression. For me they are suitable for everyday use, so they are very comfortable and I don't feel constricted and can still train in them. Don't enjoy them, but they don't feel like they're going to move. Excellent purchase. I define, but in a different color.
