Review on Panasonic DMR EZ37VK DVD Recorder Combo Tuner by Jeff Westra

This unit was designed to do exactly what I needed to do - transfer my collection of VHS tapes to DVD. I have one of their previous models from about four years ago which is also amazing. They have made many improvements to this new model. Firstly, unlike the old 100X, you can search with 200X. And all the commands are very reasonable and intuitive. There are only two things that keep me from giving it a full five stars: First, it's pretty loud. Also (and this may sound silly), the old machine had the power button on top and the eject button below - they're reversed on this new model. So, out of habit, I keep turning off the machine when I just want to eject the tape. Of course, if you're not used to the other version, this shouldn't bother you. All in all a very well designed and executed product. If you need to transfer tapes to DVD, this is for you.
