Good reader, bad cables

I bought this card reader for my new Silverstone Raven 03 case which doesn't have USB2.0 ports. The card reader looks good, but the USB, 1394, Sata, and HD audio cables are all 2 inches shorter than the corresponding motherboard connector (both products are made by the same company). the bottom of the motherboard (like most motherboards). However, with this Silverstone Raven 03 case, the "bottom” of the motherboard is on the back of the case. So the maximum distance from the front of the case where this card reader is installed. I placed the reader in the bottom 5.25-inch bay (using Silverstone's FP55B converter, which is torture in itself) and tried to get the shortest possible distance between the reader and the ports on the back of the case to manufacture. Even a direct shot to the body will not do! Forget cable management here! You WILL NOT REACH! Even if I removed my graphics card, they wouldn't get it! (By the way, this is an Asus FX990 TUF motherboard). Luckily I work in electronics so tomorrow at work I will be adding 3 inches to each wire of the connector. These additional 6 TO 22 INCH cables are $0.20 TOTAL and it takes me an hour ($30+) to hide the existing cables so I can also hide them behind the motherboard tray. This makes this "premium" card reader a terrible investment for this case (made by the same company as this case and almost necessary for this case). What a pity they "cheaped" this tiny cheap part. Such an oil stain to build in the suitcase, eh! (See my review of FP55B 5.25" to 3.5" Converter (Black))
