I've seen some reviews that they can't install a filter but it just pops in and out. It takes more effort than I expected but it fell apart and put back together. No problem. I have this for hydration when fishing and I needed something really simple as I am often waist deep in rivers and get thrown off balance by the current. This bottle easily attaches to your backpack or vest. Easy to disassemble and fill, and just squeeze out the water with your hands. I drank over 50 ounces of river water through a bottle with an adventure filter in about 4 hours of fishing and wading. I have not experienced any negative effects. Four days later I'm still feeling fine with no gastrointestinal issues. I bought a few more for our (adult) children to use at work knowing they are getting healthy quality water. I hope this goes away with use. Similar to the IMO hydration bladder but not as pronounced. It's also a fairly small bottle. You can just take an extra plastic bottle and pour dirty water into Philips Go Zero and solve this problem. The limited size can sometimes come in handy when there is a water source nearby for refilling as the bottle is easy to hold and squeeze. and that's less weight on my backpack. For my fishing use, the smaller size is actually an advantage.
