They are much brighter than my stock headlights. They're pretty easy to install. I have them in a '94 Buick Roadmaster and I don't need anything extra. Just plug in and get started. It is important to ensure that the light bulb is rotated at the exact angle. Otherwise your high beam is low beam and low beam is high beam or high beam is no different from low beam. Each side has 2 LED elements. One on top and more in front. The other is below and closer to the back. For my machine, the correct rotation is that the top, forward element is up. In my car, these bulbs spin freely when screwed in, so they require tape around the o-ring to secure it. The beam is not quite straight. You can see some shadows in the beam but I think it's because of my headlight housing. I'll see if there's anything else I can do to smooth it out. But if not, I'm still perfectly happy with it. In my 1st photo, the new bulb is on the left and the original is on the right. You see how white he is. Other photos show shading in the bar. But it doesn't distract. I aligned them the way I like. The one on the left is a little higher than it should be and the one on the right is higher so you can see the curb better.
