I'm an adult and I'm playing with this, I know it sounds childish but it's really a lot of fun. I first discovered it in Brookstone at my local mall and was intrigued by it but never intended to own it. Years later I saw it and decided why not. From my expectations it is the same as the one I used when playing with it. It's dry to the touch, but depending on what type of person you are, your sweat glands may force you to dry your hand before playing as this will cause it to fall apart more easily. It doesn't stain clothes or leave a mess, which is a huge plus. The first time you take it out of the bag and play with it, the sand is a bit reluctant to stick, but after a few games it should work just fine.
