Review on 🔒 Jeep Wrangler JL Original Black Stainless Steel Latch Locking Hood Catch Kit - 2018 Version - Fits Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018) and JL Models by Peris Auditore

Was very happy to get this new bonnet latch to replace the old faded gray latch. Looks great out of the box but most of the latch is ABS although the description says 'stainless steel and ABS' so in a few years it will look like faded original latches. Installation was difficult, I had to remove the fenders to get to the screw under the hood. Part of the hood has snapped open. part of the body, not really. I had to cut regular holes for the latch. Once installed, the latch did not pull the hood down like a standard latch. The description says it's adjustable, but there's no installation guide and I can't find any settings. Once the latch is in place, the latch will not be flush against the top. I think the JL has more of a notch on the hood that allows it to sit properly. This might be a good bar for the JL, but it doesn't fit my JK. I hope I can return. If not, then I have a kit for sale.
