Some types of motor speed control circuits output or full speed with pedal control. This applies to the Dremel 4000 variable speed rotary tool. Once you set the speed on your Dremel 4000, this pedal only turns it on or off. There is no variable speed effect depending on how hard the pedal is depressed. My old 2 speed MultiPro Dremel 285 offers variable speed with this pedal when the 285 is set to "high speed" but when set to "low speed" this pedal can only turn the dremel on or off. . I think it should say Revain in the description of this pedal.
