My wife's favorite knife in the kitchen is the 6" Shun Premier utility knife, so when I saw these knives I thought the 5" would be a good alternative and for the price I ordered it I a paring knife. Also. They arrived and were so beautiful that when I was visiting family out of town and found the knives in their bar couldn't cut lime, I ordered a utility knife and a chef's knife for them. I already have too many chef's knives for the home cook, but I liked the Dinfo chef's knife so much that I came back to order one. After one use, he removed my more expensive knife from position #1. My wife still uses the Shun 6" instead of the Dinfo 5" but I'm glad to have this set. I've seen most reviews talk about smaller knives but don't miss the chef's knife, it's great.
