This will melt the ice off the windshield faster!

08 Crown Vic, I used pneumatic tools to clean out the inner hole of the hole with a scotch brite flap to make sure no material was removed, I smoothed the surface and flat because it was rusty and coreless. I rubbed coolant on the rubber gasket, I tightened the bolt, and as I was adding coolant a very small drop began to ooze out, so I removed the heater and applied a smooth, thin coat of ultra-black sealant to the hole and surface, and installed it again. and allowed the sealant to dry for several hours while the area was heated with a shop lamp. No problem after fill up and ride and cool down, then ride and cool down again, always check coolant level when cold, NEVER HOT. So after making sure the coolant level was hot and then correct after 2 cycles, I hooked up the heater with an outside temperature of 34 degrees and waited 1 1/2 hours and then checked to see if my temp gauge read anything - no, let it I run it and the air was NOT COLD but not warm for 90 minutes, at this point I say it's a good buy because it takes me 5 minutes to get to this pointe shoe. I'm just testing again at 1:09 am Tuesday 19-21 February in Michigan in 31 degrees. I'll continue in a few hours. Continued - 1-21-21 - seems to take at least 1 1/2-2 hours to provide instant 60 degree heat, last night after 2 hours of diving I had warm air at 22 degrees in about a minute. I'm happy with the result because I assumed it would turn out that way. If you want real HEAT, you need remote start!

Pros
  • Engine Heaters
Cons
